Jomablue - Notice history

This incident has been resolved.

A security setting on our end was too strict and briefly blocked part of registration sites from loading correctly for some users while a change to an underlying security service from a provider we rely on was changed. While this system is intentionally designed to do this when things from providers may unexpectedly change (to protect our users) - in this case it was overly aggressive in its blocking. We've corrected it and the issue is fully resolved.

Our provider has confirmed this is resolved, SMS sending has returned to normal expected behaviour. We are seeking more cause information from the provider to review if there is anyway Jomablue can be less affected by such upstream issues.

The latest update from upstream provider:

We are continuing to investigate an issue affecting outbound message delivery.
As a precaution, new message submissions are currently paused while we stabilise the system. Our engineering teams are actively working to restore normal service. Further updates will follow as more information becomes available.

We continue to monitor the situation with the upstream provider.

There is no certainly yet that messages are being queued upstream so we still recommend avoiding SMS usage at this stage.

This incident has been resolved. During a brief period of approximately 35 minutes, a small number of customers may have noticed slower than usual page loads or temporary unresponsiveness within Jomablue. Our monitoring picked this up within 60 seconds, and the team jumped in straight away to investigate. We identified that a change in an underlying service had become incompatible with parts of the Jomablue platform, and we were able to resolve it quickly.
